Baby Teething Symptoms

What are the systoms of teething:

-Heavy Drooling

-Low grade fever(< 100 degree)

-Grouchy and fussy

-Desire to chew and bite

-Change or trouble in Eating and sleeping habits

-Swollen gums.

-Red and tender, puffy gums

-Baby wanting to put objects or fingures in their mouth

-Biting and gnawing

What are not the symtoms of teething?

Following are not the symptoms of teething and should be evaluated by your child's doctor.

-Cough

-Diarrhea

-High Fever

-Cold

What can you do to help your child during teething?

-Cold pacifier.

-Chilled(not frozen) teething ring.

-Massage your child's gum with clean finger.

-Over the counter teething oinment.

-Over the counter children's tylenol or motrin.

-Suck on cold wet cloth.

-Drool Cloth to prevent skin irritation.

-Baby teething toys.

Do you need to take your child to dentist?

If you notice any problematic symtoms like "Thrush", see your dentist.
